- LINESVILLE - Annabel Grace Ausmundson, 93, of Linesville, passed away Friday, May 25, 2007, at Meadville Medical Center.
Born June 28, 1913, in Smith Falls, Canada, she was a daughter of Alfred and Margaret Jane Nesbit Conners.
She married Clayton V. Ausmundson of May 6, 1948; he preceded her in death.
From 1943 until 1946, during World War II, she served as a secretary in the Canadian Army and Air Force.
Annabel was a devoted housewife. In her younger years, she had worked as a registered masseuse in Canada and later had worked at Conneaut Lake Park in housekeeping.
She attended Linesville First Baptist Church and for more than 30 years in the past had attended Penn Line Church of Christ in Pierpont, Ohio.
She was a member of Lakeland Senior Center in Linesville. For many years, Annabel was involved in the Good Tyme band and was a volunteer for Active Aging. She was crowned queen of the Waterfowl Expo in 1991. She also was a reader at Linesville Elementary School.
Survivors include: two daughters, Nancy and her husband, Dr. John Oston, of Kingsport, Tenn.; and Ellen Ausmundson of Linesville; two sons, Clayton Ausumudson, of Chesterland, Ohio; and Fredrick Ausmundson of Meadville; six grandchildren and one sister, Lealo Conners, of Ottawa, Canada.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Fredrick Conners; and a sister, Leona Conners.
Calling hours are Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 US Highway 6, Linesville.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Art Barnes of the Linesville First Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will be in Linesville Cemetery.
