Steve Doby, 69, RD 2, Linesville, died Monday, Feb. 28, 1977, at his home. Doby suffered a sudden illness.
He was born in Pennsylvania on Dec. 10, 1907, a son of John and Susan Bartus Doby. He was retired from Sprang Steel Mill, Pittsburgh, and was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a son, William of Barrackville, W. Va.; four sisters, Mrs. Helen Vince, Homestead, Ohio; Mrs. Bertha (unreadable)oshagye, North Park, Fla.; Mrs. Julia Dotz, Nanington, W. Va., and Mrs. Ann Bissert, Fairmont, W. Va.; a brother, John Doby, Painesville, Ohio, one grandson and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the William H. Houghton Funeral Home, Linesville, with the Rev. Fr. Bernard Webber, pastor of St. Philip's Church, officiating. Interment was at Linesville Cemetery.
