LINESVILLE
That dread disease, diphtheria is raging in our midst and has already claimed two victims. Freddy, a six year old son of James D. Bowman, and Stella, aged thirteen, daughter of James B. Ladner, died on Sunday afternoon, after a short illness. Both had attended school on the Monday previous. Several other children are lying very low and their deaths are momentarily expected. One family has four down with the disease, which has fastened itself in nearly every family in our town.
