He entered the U.S. Army October 21, 1941 at New Cumberland, Pa., and was honorably discharged at Indiantown Gap Military Reservation November 26, 1945. He saw foreign service from January 29, 1944 until November 22, 1945. He was a Tec 4 with Company B of the 59th Signal Battalion.

Glen C. (Pete) Dickey
Glen C. (Pete) Dickey, 59, 118 S. Chestnut St., Linesville, died Aug. 1, 1979, at City Hospital following a short illness.
Dickey was born in Westford on Oct. 15, 1919, a son of Max and Madge McAdoo Dickey. He was married to Edna J. Kennedy and was previously married to Jean Fogle, who died in 1965.
Dickey had been retired from Mid-Penn Telephone Co. after working there for 39 years.
He was a member of the Linesville United Methodist Church and was a member of several organizations, including: Linesville American Legion, past commander; Linesville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post; Pine Masonic Lodge of Linesville; Scottish Rite Bodies, Coudersport; Zem Zem Shrine Temple of Erie, and was past president of the Linesville Council.
In addition to his wife, survivors include one daughter, Miss Gayle Dickey of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Mrs. Guy (Elsie) Lindsey of Linesville; one brother, Ivor Dickey, and one nephew, Gary Lindsey of Akron, Ohio.
Friends may call at the William H. Houghton Funeral Home, Linesville, Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and attend the funeral service there Saturday at 3 p.m. with Rev. Jack Elder of Linesville United Methodist Church officiating. Masonic services will be conducted Friday at 8 p.m.
Interment will be at Linesville Cemetery.
