Andrew (Andy) Denham
Andrew (Andy) Denham, 71, of Linesville, died yesterday afternoon after a year's illness. He had been a patient at Spencer Hospital for six days.
Denham, a near-lifetime resident of Linesville, was born June 24, 1886, at Penfield, Ohio, a son of Andrew and Eliza Denham. He was a veteran of World War I, a member of the Linesville VFW and Linesville American Legion.
He is survived by his widow, the former Hester Comstock; two sons, Herman and Amos Waite of Linesville; a stepson, Charles R. Weaver of Erie; three sisters, Mrs. Clyde Virgie of Jefferson, Ohio, Mrs. Grace Berringer of Linesville, and Mrs. Mildred Jackson of Cleveland; a brother, Leslie of Linesville; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Houghton Funeral Home, Linesville, where services will be held Tuesday at 2. The Rev. Doyle Anderson of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church will officiate at the services. Interment will be at Linesville Cemetery.
