  	cause of death: cerebral apoplexy from a scrapbook at the Linesville Historical Society: DL BUNNELL Passed away, at his home in Linesville, Sunday morning, Feb. 1, 1925, Mr. Bunnell had been in the banking business 27 years, for many years president of Linesville State Bank, and lately retired. He was highly regarded in Western Crawford and in Meadville as well where he had many business acquaintances. Daniel Lee Bunnell was a son of Samuel and Rebecca Bunnell and was born in Plainfield, New Jersey, August 28, 1861. The family removed to Linesville when he was six months old and the remainder of his life was spent in Linesville. February 16, 1893, he married Miss Alta Gehr, niece of the late Hon SH Wilson. Mr. Bunnell was always active in the business and social life of the town. He was Burgess of Linesville for several years, and member of the Borough Council, and held many other municipal offices. He was a member of Pine Lodge No 498, F&AM, and also of Northwestern Commandery of Meadville, and several other bodies. With Mrs. Bunnell, Mr. Bunnell left for St. Petersburg, Fla., the last of December and had been there but a few days when stricken with paralysis. His wish was to return home among old associates, and he rejoiced at once more being among them. Mr. Bunnell is survived by his wife, a brother, Frazier, and a sister Eva, both residing at Billings, Mont. Another sister died several years ago. The funeral was in charge of the Masons and held at the residence on Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock; services being conducted by Rev Dr JW Harsha, assisted by Rev JB Smith. The floral tributes were many and beautiful. The bearers: Chas. Hayes, Harold Lowing, Clark Limber, Wilbur Farley, Myron Turner and Harry Hendrick.

  from the July 10, 1912 issue of the Linesville Herald: Mr. E.E. Haslam who has charge of the survey of Pymatuning Swamp and sister, Bertha, who is making him a visit from their home in Connecticut and Mr. and Mrs. D.L. Bunnell spent the Fourth at the Riverside Hotel, Cambridge Springs. The ladies remained the rest of the week and were joined by the men Saturday. All returned the first of the week.
